I'm in the process of divorce and just accepted an offer on the family home from a cash buyer who wants to proceed quickly.
I had found a house in Petersfield and had an offer accepted subject to the sale of the family home, which was achieved yesterday. Despite the vendor's estate agents being fully advised of the negotiations taking place on my current property, they neglected to tell me until after I had accepted the offer on the family home and agreed to a quick exchange. I now have very little time to find an alternative and there is literally nothing else in Petersfield to buy.
I am now considering Haslemere for practical reasons (I have one child at school in Hindhead, my other is still in primary so can be moved and I also commute to London on a part-time basis). Hence, Haslemere would be a good alternative, but as I am not particularly familiar with the town am desperate for advice on areas to live.
