We are in the throes of buying a house and my not v helpful lawyer has said it's not clear who maintains the fences. There two either side and one right at the back of the the rear garden. Its a probate and distant relatives are the executors so they don't know. Could we be in a situation where all neighbours tell us its our responsibility to maintain all the fences?
