I am currently renovating a property and have been scouring mumsnet for tips (we haven't got kids yet but absolutely love mumsnet!)
We have been away for the week and went to check on the windows. My partner asked to keep wooden window sills and have mdf new ones fitted on a couple of windows
The new window sills have gaps of about 2cm away from the wall below. The old sills have cracks in and there is a gap between the sill and the window.
If we had known it would look like this we would have got PVC sills. The windows are PVC and we had the plasterer in at the same time to make it all neat.
We haven't paid him yet. Any advice on what we can do or ask them to do? It's our first renovation and we're trying so hard to project manage with full time jobs!
