We signed contracts on Monday28th and complete next Wednesday 6th . I have Gardeners going in to attack the jungle garden on Monday. 4th. My dad said that should be ok as long as nothing goes wring with the sale. But couldn't then tell me what like. So, what can go wrong between signing and competing. Pls.

Lunatic, ours need cleaned too cos it's been empty for 1 year or slightly over the estate agent said I an borrow the key any time to do the cleaning as long as it's back by close of business the same day. I'm just up to my eyes packing and minding 4 kids. Would love to get a cleaner in to give it a once over before Iove our stuff In.
When do u complete?

Is work before completion possible then in theory? We are buying a vacant house (owner alive but moved out already). Would we be allowed to start a re-wire before completion and actually moving in if we've exchanged? Current plan is to hide out a parents (an hour away) but it would be lovely if we could move in with things already done...

I'm not sure MIL. You at least have an individual u can ask (seller). As far as I can tell once u exchange it's more or less a done deal. Our gardener is doing our work on Monday and doesn't want paid until we complete on the Wednesday. If we don't complete. He said we don't have to pay him. He said he's done these jobs lots of times before. I'm desperate to get in and clean I'm a little OCD and don't want the kids things going in to a dirty house.

Will definitely be asking, however we might not get much time between exchange and completion, our buyers are very eager!
