Long shot - Ikea PAX wardrobes

Does anyone have the new sliding door ones? And/or know if is it possible to fit the new sliding doors onto the old (5 years old-ish) wardrobes?

Ours are over 5 years and have sliding doors so I assume yes. The kit to fix them on come with the doors. They are a pain to put up but look lovely and are very practical.

I'd try phoning customer services and asking them before you order. We have the sliding doors and they are really good, we needed them to help with space.

Just ring your local store and they will put you through to the wardrobes department.

I will say that there have been changes to other component parts of Ikea wardrobes as well as drawers etc so the drawers I originally had on an Ikea wardrobe needed a new runner, but the new style runners were totally different meaning I couldn't substitute it.

Are your old ones also sliding door ones? There are assembly instructions online on Ikea so you can see how it goes together, perhaps have a look at that too.

I don't think the PAX carcasses have changed in years. We have two; one is brand new, and the other is about 12 years old, and they are identical. But there must be a helpline for questions like that.

I think that the sliding doors only fit the 75 cm wide carcasses and not the 100cm ones. This from a conversation I had recently (which I may have misunderstood).
