Harvey Jones kitchens

We had an HJ kitchen installed this year- like Azazello, installation and project management was dreadful. The "designer" and the follow-up (snotty) "surveyor" made a major mistake in measuring, resulting in a serious problem when the kitchen was installed. HJ were really unpleasant and consistently refused to accept responsibility.
After a lot of argument and unpleasantness, they offered to paint the kitchen for free. Painting was poor and the first colour put on was the wrong one. Once again, they refused to take responsibility ( "we picked up the paint we'd been told to use"). No project management help here either. I was forced to go out immediately and buy a paint colour we hadn't even discussed, to stop the painters walking off the job. One of them didn't bother to turn up on the final day. Installers also turned up to suit themselves.
We were horrified to see that most of the units are mdf and not solid wood. We felt conned by the chat in their shop regarding solid wood and general finish.
The installers were strange and if the builder hadn't been on site, I would have had an absolute breakdown, as the installers are definitely"jobs worths" and refuse to assist in anything at all outside their remit.
We can't actually put a dinner plate in the wall units, as they are too short in depth, although we have plenty of spare space.
When we filled in the Comments form, outlining the above, HJ management wasn't in the least interested-"although you are obviously unhappy with the kitchen, we hope you enjoy using it....."?????
Based on our experience of them, we could never recommend them to anyone and next time will install a much cheaper kitchen.

Sorry to hear. Thats absolutely awful customer service. I have never personally rated the quality of their stuff but I hadn't realised that service was also poor.

When will these companies appreciate the value of good customer service! Things go wrong with projects but at least resolve them sorry to hear what a shocker you have had.
