Offer accepted but a bit worried

We have had our offer accepted on a house we really like. It's chain free but someone is obviously living there.

I asked the EA what the situation is and he said someone is living there only temporarily - really worried it will be a tenant who refuses to move!

I will ask the EA for more details when I view it again later on in the week. What questions should I ask and what problems could I potentially have?

you need to find out what the tenants tenancy says, and if they have been given notice.

if they decide not to leave, it is legal and bailiffs time, takes time, costs £££ and will be YOUR problem if you buy the property.

check out the similar thread on the subject.

that said, I am in a similar position, the tenant was a friend of the owners, said he was leaving two weeks later and has indeed gone.
