Ballpark figure for extension: Norfolk

Hi all, I'm looking at buying guide a house that needs extending. I'd want to extend over the garage that is next yo the house but I'm imagining this doesn't have suitable foundations so we'll be looking at knocking the whole lot down and starting again. So has anyone got any clue how much a two story extension would cost. It would be about 5m X 7m. No bathroom or kitchen, just the basics...

Adding 70m2 - very rough ball park figure would be £70k.

reasonable estimate, I agree, how much can you do yourself, OP?

well I can plaster walls and decorate, but I'm guessing those are rather trivial costs. It would be very nice to discover that the garage actually had good enough foundations. Do you think there's any chance of that? If it did, I could put up an internal wall etc. to convert the garage, I should think.

Plastering is a heck of a skill!! Will save you stress if not huge amount of money.
Wiring, flooring, insulation?

well I can do the walls, but I've never tried a ceiling! Taught myself when pregnant with 2nd. Weird nesting instinct, I'm guessing...I have laid a wooden laminate floor before but I don't think it was that good a job.
