Help to buy mortgage guarantee - in Scotland?

Is this programme where you only need 5% down payment available throughout the UK including Scotland? Or is it England only? I've googled until I was blue in the face as I seem to be getting conflicting information depending where I look. We're trying to sell our existing home in Scotland in order to buy in England and are hoping this scheme will help us sell our home instead of simply driving up prices where we wish to buy!

The scheme's main lender at the moment is the RBS so it would be a bit strange if it were only offered to English buyers... The Scotsman ran a story yesterday which implied it would be open to Scottish buyers. Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to visit your local RBS and ask inside?

Definitely available in Scotland, there was an ad on the radio this morning about it.

Thanks, both, that's hopefully good news for us.
