Ashford and Maidstone residents

Hello there, we are relocating out of London to Kent and about to start our search next week. We have had Ashford and Maidstone suggested to us. If there are any tips or advice you could give would be most appreciated. We have a baby daughter and I will be going back to work full time in London but hopefully working from home two days per week, so commuting for three days. While my husband, who is freelance, takes on majority of child care. Are there any particular areas in the towns that are family friendly? Cheers

Barming is very nice in Maidstone. It all depends on your budget. Ashford is cheaper but not as nice as Maidstone. Have you thought about Canterbury? X

No we don't need to be in town. We are thinking to rent while we look for a property to buy so we are fairly flexible as to where we go as long as the rent is reasonable and there are decent transport links. Thank you for the suggestions so far, will check them out. By the way, what is the commute like from these places? Cheers
