How much should the snagging list be?

Hi

We are just about to do an extension which will be around a £45k contract with builder. How much would you expect to with-hold for the snagging list?

Maybe 4k; half until snagging is complete, and half for a further six months in case of latent defects.

It depends on what contract you are using. Check the small print.

Ideally pay 95% of contact sum when completed, a further 2 1/2% for immediate snagging and the final 2 1/2% after six months when defects such as shinkage cracks jave been addressed. Tjos would be tje terms of a usual minor works contract.
