Build starts next week- scared- tell me it's gonna be ok!!!!

We are starting an extension,reroof, knock through, new bedrooms bathroom project next week. It's been so long awaiting planning that I haven't been able to think about what I actually want in terms of design, or how am i going to cope with the mess and disruption!!! I have bought a baby gate to keep the dogs in and started putting together the pages ripped out of magazines for style ideas- that's all. Arrrgh feel so stressed , everytime we do something in the house it never turns out how I wanted it.

Any tips on what else I should be doing??

looking at photos for inspiration, talking to friends who've been through similar times, window shopping at all the lovely furniture and DIY shops to glean more ideas - using your phone to snap a shot of anything that makes you smile - so you can use that idea at home... all this will help with the design side and maybe keep you out of the house too - if possible take the dogs out for long walks rather than leave them at home with strangers and noise as they will be confused and stressed ! or even give the builder dog treats to give to the dogs so they become friends ? could help ? its an exciting time !! try and enjoy it !! :-)
