Hi all

My husband is considering a new job based in Marlow. We currently live in surrey, in a three bed semi, 1 bathroom, downstairs loo, outside brick built utility and storage room, 80ft garden, own drive with space for two cars, conservatory.
Our house is expected to fetch around £325,000
We would be looking for something at least the same size/ features.
Any idea on budget for the above in Marlow, prefer 4 beds just in case we expand our family.
Also have one doggie and a rabbit

Cheers

I think it's more expensive than many parts of Surrey. 325K may get a 3-bed just, but nothing like the extra features/outbuildings/big garden that you have. I'm quite curious where in surrey can you buy all that?

Take a look on Rightmove but I think you'd struggle with that budget. Beware that many of the houses in Marlow which may be in that price bracket are either little terraced cottages or chalet style bungalows (so some bedrooms will be upstairs and others downstairs). You would be able to get something in parts of High Wycombe or Maidenhead.

Hi

We are in ex council, so solid brick built, not the prettiest but very spacious.
Over the last five years we have added huge decking area by the house and down in the bottom with a hot tub on, brand new boiler, new kitchen and new family bathroom.
It's near Woking, also happens to be five mins from motorway, end of the road is a fab school so lovely location.

Our budget would be more than we are selling for, what areas would you recommend, thinking village feel, not town centre, more countryside than rat race!!

Cheers

I grew up in Marlow so if you suggest places your thinking of can let you know what they are like- for village type feel what about Lane End, outskirts of stokenchurch, pickney green side of maidenhead, west Wycombe, great missenden, Hurley, old side of beaconsfield, cookham, wooburn green. There are lots of lovely areas all quite expensive but you should be able to get what your after depending on what you could compromise on. Is location or size of house or size of garden or prove the most important?
