House Selling

How long has your huse been on the market? We have had 6 viewings and positive comments as they have looked around. These haven't turned into offers though. Also AIBU to expect the estate agent to chase viewers for feedback? As you can guess, getting a bit impatient, although only been on the market for 9 weeks.

Have you got a critical friend with a good eye? Use them.

and pack up anything that is not needed and put in storage somewhere, go minimal.

Duracell, I finally managed to sell my house this year. It has been on and off the market for the last 2 years. I got sick to death of "feedback". If buyers are interested then they make an offer. In all honesty that is the only feedback you ever want to hear.

I got so fed up of "the garden is too small", "there are too many stairs", they just don't think a town house is for them. OMG!!!!! Did they not look at the particulars? That said, sometimes a house just isn't for you & you can't really think of a specific, you just don't want to live there, so you have to make something up so that the estate agent stops calling you for feedback.

I would say, check your pricing. Are you priced, so that a buyer can make a reasonable offer. Everyone can see what similar houses in your area go for by checking the land registry, so they will know if your house is on for too much.

Is the house clean and tidy and looking presentable. Try and walk through the door as though you had never been in it before with your most critical eyes.

I agree feedback is generally not helpful. We had one viewer who liked the house but hadn't yet decided if she was going to stay in the area (south coast) or move to Birmingham. Really? Why look at houses then?

Another thought it was too small - its a two bed modern mid terrace, all the measurements are online, exactly what were you expecting?!?

Our house was on the market about 6 weeks so not too long, but it was really really hard work getting it ready every time with a mad 2 year old around.
