I am trying to figure out a 'make do plan' for my kitchen. I need some building work done to knock my kitchen & dining room into one and am trying to work out a plan for a budget kitchen to put in afterwards.

in order to get it to work I need to find a decent kitchen sink that will fit into a 40cm base unit. Pls can you help?

Ikea do a good selection of different sized sinks and kitchens too.

this will nearly fit- you might have to cut a bit out of the edge of the unit to accommodate the overflow and tap pipes, but the bowl should fit.

Try a chandlery. Boats have small but deep sinks.

When you say fit what do you mean? The whole sink including drainer must be 40cm wide or the bowl must fit over the top of a 40cm unit?

Many Thanks for all your replies. I was looking for one which would fit inside a 40cm base unit.

By chance, I found a gorgeous 34cm franke compact under mount sink lying by the side of the road on the school run yesterday! I am not sure if we will actually use it (due to the faff of fitting an under mount and the cost of wooden work tops to go with it). However, it was great to be able to bring it home and visualise what having such a small sink would be like.

PS I did ask the builders if I could take it Blush
