Anyone recommend a good removals company in London?

We will be moving in the next couple of months. We are moving a 2 bed flat into another 2 bed flat. Distance between two properties is about 2 miles.

Anyone recommend a good company or men with van? Or even give me an idea of how much it should cost? Won't need a packing service, removals only

Thanks

I used Enterprise Removals a couple of years ago and they were great. Think it cost me about £300 for four hours with three guys and a Bedford van.

£300 sounds very reasonable. We have seen quotes of up to £1000! Did they include packing materials as well as removal service, or removals only?

James removals are fantastic.

Aussie man and van is good

if you're in east london, crispin removals good. we moved out of 3bed flat, family of five - £690 vat incl.
aussie man and van quoted roughly £1K for same.

ps I know you said removals only, but packing (including materials) was another £120 - best money we've ever spent.

We used Roberts and Denny's based in Peckham. They were both professional and surprisingly cheap compared to other quotes - and recommended on here by another MNetter!

Works, I'm thinking that packing might be a sanity-saving measure and you're twisting my arm even more Grin DP is the world's biggest skinflint so I may have to do some convincing though. And yes we're in East London. Will do some investigating, thanks

It was removals only, I bought packing stuff cheaply on eBay.

We used Roberts and Denny's as well. They were very professional and dissasembled and assembled all the furniture - beds, tables, etc.

Les Hinks & Co - quote was about half that of others, very nice and professional, plus three other friends have also used them and recommend them. We paid £600 for a three-bed house to move 80 miles.

They're based in east London.
