I'd like to get shutters but am concerned that they will make the room darker. At present we have a flat net curtain but it gets grubby and looks unnattractive.
Will shutters let in less light if their slats are pushed up so that people outside can't see in? We could possibly leave a third of the slats at the top fully open if this would help.
