Putting an aerial cable in a new room?

Hello

Sorry if this is a bit of a simple question!

Anyone know how to get a tv aerial cable into a room that's not got one? Is it a simple matter of getting a new cable and running it down into the room from the roof (getting someone in to do it)?

Is there a problem with signal degradation? We had a new aerial about 6 months ago so we know it's not an antique one! Can we just split the signal?

Any idea how much it'll cost?

Thanks

About 3 years ago, we bought DD1 a TV for her room & had & paid for a new ariel to be stuck onto the back of the house.
We needed a new ariel for the whole house-still do!!-but downstairs we have Sky so watch all TV through a Sky box!!
We then bought a TV for DD2 about 2 months ago for her room. We bought a kit that connected to DD1s ariel in her room to DD2s TV that connected to the new ariel.
Both TV`s have a Freeview box & DVD in-built.
Hope you followed that & hope it helped!!

You can buy a 'splitter' from any diy shop. You just plug it into the main aerial point in the wall, then plug your living room and bedroom one into it. Basically you end up with the bedroom one leading out of the living room.. I'll see if I can google the splitter then you'll know what it looks like.

Got it thanks! Does that mean you've got cable running between the two rooms inside rather than something external coming in through the wall?
