First time buyer has bought our house and we've bought a house with no upper chain. Surveys have been done on our house n house were buying. Mortgages all sorted for us and our buyer. So what happens now? And time scales?

Should be straightforward - ask your conveyancer for a tight timescale to avoid delays - and also check that the person assigned to you is not due any leave in the next few weeks - as this sometimes (not always) causes delays ! They need to do searches and check registry etc ... Could be very quick process - but inevitably will always take longer than you hope ! Like a watched pot !! Good luck with the move ! :-)

Cheers for that. Will ring solicitor in morning to see what he has done on his behalf. Very exciting!

just because all is agreed, doesn't mean you are there. Keep nagging and progressing, find what is expected to happen when and get straight on the phone if it doesn't.

you pay these people, be a nuisance.
