Minton tiled floor - restoration?- in Sussex Area ?? Have you restored yours?

We have a lovely minton tiled floor. have tried to clean using i think HG Tile restorer but with no success. left it on, gave it a good scrub. can still see bit of varnish that wont come off. Once cleaned hoping to seal it and bring out the colours to their best.

Trying to find someone with experience in restoring this type of floor. As we havent a clue.

oh actually it was lithothin that we used not HG. I live near St leonards. 30 min drive. Nearer to Eastbourne.

There's a lovely house being restored at the moment in slos, it hwd a room tiled in minton, hence the question !
