Thanks Lala - those beds are nice but Im after something more traditional. It needs to go with my wallpaper - picture in my profile. The wardrobes in the picture look all wrong but they are actually quite nice. Thanks.

There are any amount on eBay for around £100 not inc mattress. Studio 24 also has some for under £200 including mattress.

I've heard you need to be careful with metal beds as cheap ones can creak. Have you found that?

we have a feather and black super king. We should definitely have got the additional hard layer to go on top of the slats before the mattress - after only a few years, the (very expensive Hypnos) mattress is falling away either side of the central vertical slat.

We've had 2 Feather & Black ones, one double & one Superking.
The double's on its last legs but only due to children bouncing.
The mattresses seem good quality too.
Wait for the sale though.
