Karndean parquet

I clapped eyes on this today while looking at carpets for upstairs. It's gorgeous.

We were planning to sand and varnish the boards in our hallway and sitting room (currently carpeted but smells doggy and I'm not a fan of carpet downstairs anyway). Should I be thinking about the karndean? Does it have advantages over floorboards? We have it in the kitchen but we've only just moved in so I haven't lived with it long enough to form much of an opinion. Obviously it would be more £££...

Have a karndean parquet in our kitchen. Took a couple of sessions to get all the fiddly bits stuck but I love it!
I love it because its easy to clean, hard wearing - so far, and looks great. Loads of comments from friends about it.
Looking to use it again in laundry rm,
Hope this helps!
