Hi, we need a new radiator to go on a wall that is exposed stone. Has to be vertical. I want it to be as discreet as possible I guess, but don't know where to start looking! Any ideas what would look best? Stainless steel? Black? Anthracite? Also, traditional looking or modern?

Is the rest of the room traditional or modern ?!
have you considered the radiators that look more like a hall mirror ?!
Or a radiator you can paint in the stone colour to help it disappear ?!

What kind of room is it ?!

Rest of the room is fairly traditional - white walls, natural wood floor, chandelier, quite rustic dining table, loads of kids' crap. I like the mirror ones, but they are £££. Hadn't thought of painting it actually. Don't want it to look sludgy though.

Do you think a traditional white column vertical would look silly? I saw one on pinterest against a stone wall that looked ok and I wonder whether something that stands out might actually be better.

tricky ... I think I would explore painting it to blend in - you may even be able to get a reconditioned one that would look fab when painted ?! alternatively go with the colour of your door hardware - guessing black, chrome or brass ... I think white would be too modern ?!?
