What colour F&B for painting my house number on my wheelie bins?

I have three wheelie bins - brown for garden waste, blue for recycling, and green for general waste. I was thinking maybe cooking apple green for the brown one, babouche for the blue bin, and elephant's breath for the green. Any suggestions? What do other people have?

I wonder if you live near me OP, we have a similar wheelie bin arrangement.

I had a similar dilemma myself, until dh went and bought some of those dreadful self adhesive numbers, well really, everyone has those these days don't they? The neighbours will think we have no class, no taste and no sense of individuality. I am going to have to a) move and b) ltb. They aren't even straight ffs.

Shit, Ive just done mine with white masonary paint, have I committed a faux pas? I was wondering why the neighbours were giving me funny looks.

However, I did paint the numbers fancily with little flicks.

Ah, yes. Choice of font is very important. Comic Sans would be social death.

Dead salmon for the food bin is the most appropriate colour.

I'll work on the rest

Love.

Personally I think you can't beat the all-over ivy sticker thing. Now that's classy.

Totally true - friend of mine has brick and shiplap 'beehives' to hide the dustbins. They are painted in Downpipe and have Welsh slate roofs. To be fair, she's a landscape designer Grin.
