Internal windows for light

I wonder if anyone knows enough about building regs to answer this. We've bought a flat which has a mezzanine bedroom separated by a balcony rail.

As this is rubbish for privacy, I want to replace the rail with a stud wall complete with a large glazing panel for light. We would incorporate ventilation panels at the sides as it has a proper closing door.

What problems can you think of for this? It doesn't need planning obviously, as it is internal, but would it cause survey problems on resale, do you think? It would certainly make for a nicer bedroom, that much I know.
