We have recently bought a 1910 terrace which has a beautiful wide hallway. I really want to tile it with original tiles, which I think may be easier said than done.
Anyone have any pointers? It looks like ebay may be my best bit but it's going to be hard to get the correct amount/clean them/fit them properly. However, my budget is not unlimited!
The design I like best is the black and white ones, but I wonder if the minton type ones are the ones likely to have been used? www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=www.londonmosaic.com/gal_img/edwardian-period-hall-tiles-1.jpg&imgrefurl=www.londonmosaic.com/bot/gallery23.htm&h=360&w=640&sz=129&tbnid=aCi4iLqaXVI2aM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=160&zoom=1&usg=__0Nelf1ZcnqnfcGcoPokne5t9vnM=&docid=xh-FAJC1U0yB5M&sa=X&ei=7EIfUt_IGejW0QWB2oBo&ved=0CFoQ9QEwAw&dur=26#imgdii=aCi4iLqaXVI2aM%3A%3BCRuXK8wAQscR9M%3BaCi4iLqaXVI2aM%3A
It's a stone terrace so I don't think the terracotta designs are quite right.
