Cupboard for ironing board and hoover, mop etc

I am sorting out a little space adjacent to the kitchen where I keep the tumble dryer. I want it to have some resemblance of a utility room so have been thinking of putting up a free standing slim cupboard to hold the ironing board, mop and hoover. I have seen a laundry cupboard in the ikea site but I am not sure it's big enough. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

Can someone make one for you? We had a carpenter do one for us & it fits everything perfectly and maximises the space (as it should given it was made to measure) and wasn't that much.

Carpenter without a doubt - I have one of these and they're great - no more does the ironing board fall onto my foot! Smile

I want one too.
I went into a posh furniture shop in town that seems to do everything, and asked if they have a broom cupboard, or a catalogue I could order one .
He looked at me very blankly, and said he had never heard of a broom cupboard. What was one? Hmm

Thanks all. I will go and speak my neighbour who is a carpenter. I had thought it would be ££££ but will ask him.

We have a 1000mm wide Pax wardrobe carcase, which DH fitted out with customised shelves/hooks etc using some extra shelves and chipboard. Does the job a treat and is really big and deep.

fossil971 · 28/08/2013 20:15

The reason is it was cheaper to buy the Pax carcase than to buy the MDF/chipboard to make a cupboard, and a choice of about 8 finishes. Could a 500mm wide one do the job for you - just realised you said the space was narrow.

Thanks Fossil. I have the Ikea catalogue so will have a look. The space is actually not that small as it's the original galley kitchen. It would definitely fit a 500mm wardobe.I want to get rid of all the unsightly stuff like the hoover, ironing board, laundry basket.
