Help. I adhesived a box shut.

It's a wooden box.

I used all purpose adhesive.

Now it won't open- DH has said he went over it again because he thought it was loose.

It's a small, homemade gift box for jewellery and apparently DH used a paintbrush for the adhesive, which he didn't clean before using for paint, so I presume some paint got onto the inside ledge bit?!

HELP? Please? TIA.

Maybe I'll use another knife, but I've already damaged one. DH is going to be adhesived to a bunch of porcupines.

Nail varnish remover may work.

What do you mean by all purpose adhesive?

PVA? Superglue?

Is it a wooden box?

Is the lid rebated?

It open now, thanks to nail varnish. I don't know what adhesive it is, because he didn't use my one and he finished it up so threw it away.
