Has anyone ever done part exchange on their property before? We had two valuers out on Wednesday sent by persimon from local estate agents and just wondering if anyone can tell me how long it takes for the builders to get back to you with an offer? The waiting is killing me! Thanks

Yes.
Suggest getting out an estate agent who doesn't have a load of reduced houses in their window also, so you know how low the persimon offer is.

Ours was quick - think 5 weeks from starting part ex to completion.

We have got people coming out from Taylor Wimpey tomorrow and they have said they will make us an offer by the end of the week.

Sorry, should've also mentioned our house is already on market so already and we had it valued ourselves by three different agents who all gave same price so we have an idea of what it's worth. I just wondered when they would come back with offer as like i say I hate waiting! Thought we might've heard today but another day has passed!

I am now in exactly the same position and nervous too!!

We want to px because we are buying a newbuild and it will save on the hassle of having to rent while we wait for the house to be finished.

Got my fingers crossed they don't take the p*ss too much!

Have you heard yet?

I don't know where my last message went?! Think I might have private messaged instead by mistake lol. It said were in a predicament now because are possibly getting an offer in morning off first time buyer so don't know whether to accept or not.
