Furniture paint

Hi looking for some recommendations for paint for painting a kids wooden table and chair set, seems difficult to get specific paint for furniture.

I'd heard of the annie sloan chalk paints for furniture before and have been considering using some myself for some chairs but that range you've linked to, Broadsheet, is impressive - huge range of colours! What colour did you use?
