The previous owners of our house converted the loft but left the roof unchanged. We'd like to put a dormer in the garden-facing side of the roof but have no idea about costs. It's a largeish victorian terrace, completely gutted and refurbished to very high specs a few years ago, so no lurking problems are likely (fingers crossed). The previous owners thought about doing it, had plans drawn up, but then didn't, although the council said in writing that they would be likely to approve it if they applied for planning permission, so planning permission is unlikely to be a problem. Does anyone have any idea about likely costs? Thanks!
