Questions about buying and selling

A bit dim of me but a couple of questions if anyone can assist......

The EPC, do you organise this yourself or will the estate agent do it?

The fees to the solicitor. Do you pay up front? As you go along? If so can I use a credit card? I plan to use some of the proceeds of the sale to pay the legal fees etc but obs won't get this moneybuntil the sale.

the estate agent will organise the EPC and charge you for it. Check price is reasonable.

solicitor will want an initial float to pay for the searches, allow for a couple of hundred pounds. He will take the balance of his fee on completion.
