Upper hall/landing vs decent size walk in wardrobe

We are in process of getting plans drawn up for an extension. The first draft has upstairs with just a long corridor, no landing/upper hall to speak of. The only way we could have some landing space would be to take a chunk off my proposed walk in wardrobe.

I can't decide which is more important. I think the feel of upstairs would be improved by having a small landing, but maybe practically the space would be better to be used as storage for our clothes. We can't really move the wardrobe space, it would have to be half the size (not sure of dimensions)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

I would recommend the wardrobe.
We have a large hall and landing but no storage the house always looks a flipping mess!

I agree with Pannacotta - a landing is a transitional space - it doesn't need to be large - just big enough to serve its purpose ! Enjoy your walk in wardrobe instead !!!

Thanks for your thoughts. In my head I was imagining this big landing space but as you say it's transitional and I'd only pass through taking seconds, but I could spend hours in a walk in wardrobe Grin
