Stripey stair carpet (oh, and tiles in hall).

Hi.

Will I go off a stripey stair carpet quickly / will it date before I've had good use from it? Are they naff?

Also - whilst I'm being this boring - I want tiles in the hall, will the join between carpet and tiles be achieved neatly? Which should I have "laid" (fnar) first? Carpet or tiles?

Thanks kindly.

I have a striped stair and landing carpet from Crucial Trading (called Mississippi Stripe) Love it, have had lots of compliments on it and 2 friends have since had one fitted!

I think stripey stair carpets have had their day to be perfectly honest. I love them and I love stripes but EVERYONE has one now.
