Replacing built in fridge with built in freezer

We are buying a new house with a built in larder fridge, and space for a freestanding freezer. We'd like to replace the fridge with a built in freezer and then have a large freestanding fridge (probably a Smeg fifties style).

Has anyone replaced a built in fridge with a freezer? Is is easy to do?

I would have thought it was as easy as getting one the same size & swapping the door front & appliance over and plugging it in.
