Pull out bins, where to buy?

I am hopefully about to order a Howdens Burford kitchen but I think the pull out bin system they quoted for looks a bit rubbish and is very expensive - nearly £300!
Does anyone know if I can use a normal base unit and put in pull out bins from another supplier?
If this is doable, any suggestions please on where to source the bins?
Ideally I'd like two 20litre bins, one for rubbish and one for recycling.
I have always had freestanding bins so am not very well up on the options.

We had a great foot step operated bin system from www.franke.com - I'm hoping to do the same again.

Are you sure you want a pull out bin? I put a freestanding bin in the cupboard I had designated for the bin. Freestanding means you can take it over to where you are working and it fit in the cupboard out of sight the rest of the time. Just a suggestion.

What I did was, order an 80cm base unit with one 80cm pan drawer. The door fronts were screwed together to make a full height "front" that pulls out. Inside is an assortment of recycling/composting general bins from Ikea. A bit like this but we have 2 black and 1 grey with a lid - you can make your own configuration depending on your recycling. If under the sink you just need to make sure the plumber takes your sink waste neatly straight to the back of the unit so it doesn't lose too much space.

To really refine it I'd have put a touch latch on it so I could open it hands free but it's OK for the price IYSWIM.

fossil we will have a 600mm unit for the bins, so not sure I can get a pan drawer in that size but like your idea.
I have a separate food waste bin so no real need to take the main bin out and move it around, though of course that makes it easier to clean.
But it would be nice to be able to remove the recycling bin easily.

If it's a 60cm cabinet, you'll be able to buy any bin system that fits a 60cm cabinet!

B&Q have good systems (I think). A simple pull out rack system with various sized bins to hang on it. There are bins for the kids if you want them and the bins have little flap-up handles for carrying to the outside bin.

You will definitely be able to get a drawer in 600mm and a combination of bins. As Happy says there is nothing to stop you buying anyone's bin system that fits in the standard unit.

There are dozens of online suppliers that will sell individual interior kitchen fittings e.g. Isaac Lord, clutterfreekitchens, or look on ebay. Apart from ikea and the "handmade in-frame" kitchens, everything else is a standard size and completely interchangeable.

Thanks, there is so much stuff to choose for the kitchen was just after a few tips, I am quite feeling overwhelmed by my to do list!
