How to pack Sylvanian houses?

We are moving soon, which means DD's Sylvanians are also moving - with their farmhouse, John Lewis shop, caravan, etc. We have packed away the actual Sylvanians and all their furniture but I'm not sure how to pack the houses. We no longer have the boxes they came in and I don't want to disassemble them as they took so long to put together in the first place. Is there any way round this?

Um...put them in another box?!

I'm just paranoid about them breaking apart - it took bloody hours to put them together and doing it again on top of moving might very well break my spirit!

Unless you want to take them on your lap, it's going to need to go in another box. Pad it inside and out with kids clothes or socks etc, stuffed toys, so it should survive the journey with minimal damage. Use masking tape to tape down/secure any bits you can.

Put soft stuff inside them as we'll as around them. Use clothes.

I would love to own the sylvanian John Lewis store. Sigh.

"florence" try ebay, there's always a lot from sept onwards for christmas Grin There were some really nice cheap sylvanian accessories and buildings last year. That big windmill was on for £5 cost 70 odd new.

That's very tempting! My parents' attic is full of Sylvanians and their houses from 20 years ago.
