colour for shared bedroom

Am about to get DD's room ready to share with DS (due in oct). Obviously won't be sharing straight away but she's eager to get ready and I'd like her to feel part of things (she's 4). It's a smallish room, quite dark in mornings but bright in evenings. Any paint colour suggestions - or indeed general tips? Feel completely unable to make any decisions despite having every possible colour chart!!

what about white walls with motifs on, (large circles, triangles and squares) accessories etc in primary colours - blue red and yellow, or even the alphabet stencilled around the room

we are planning a shared room for dd and dc2 due this month. I'm thinking aqua walls but that's as far as I've got - maybe other colours like red, purple, orange, bright pink but it will depend a bit on gender of DC.

I'm not sure that is any help but I'm in the same boat!

We're doing dd and ds' room over the bank holiday. I'm going with pale walls (not sure what yet white's too harsh so probably an off white).

I've got ikea canopies for over the beds (the circus style one for ds and a drape for dd) and some hooks which natch the colours (green, blue and red).

They have massive build in wardrobes with beading round the edge. In the biggest one I'm doing blackboard paint and in the smaller ones stripes to match the hooks. The rest will be the same colour as the walls.

I've so got some multi coloured bunting to hang.

Will do all that and see how it looks. I'm crap at interior design

Whilst looking online I've found there is little to no choice for gender neutral bedrooms which is ridiculous.

Next door has (iirc) a lilac, aqua, mint green and yellow. One color on each wall, and then plain everythign else.
Looks lovely.

DD and DS share a room. White walls, Ikea playmat rug on the floor, lots of pictures in the walls. We will be putting in bunk beds soon, and I will probably get them each a set of wall stickers to decorate their area.

Thanks all. Think we're going to go for white/cream walls and stickers. Jyst surprised there is so little out there that's for shared gender.
