I was looking at the plans for our extension and suddenly realised that there's almost no space for radiators. Our budget is basically nil, so I don't think I'm going to be able to stretch to underfloor heating unless someone here can suggest a very cheap way of doing it (and a cheap floor to go on top of it).
We could fit in two vertical radiators, one by the new bifold doors and one by the opening into the living room. Our living room is freezing currently, we have the woodburner on constantly in the winter, but this is partly due to the really shonky floor to ceiling glass on the back wall of the living room, which will be coming out and replaced with a lovely extension.
Will a couple of vertical radiators (was thinking 2000mm by 300mm) heat a room which will be about 3000mm by 7500mm? They would be in the middle of the room, on opposite walls. And what do we think of how they look? I loathe normal radiators, but I find myself less bothered by vertical ones.
