i've been quoted £230 for a made to measure wardrobe and was wondering if this sounds right.
i have the invoice which shows break down of materials and labour but it seem a little low?

That seems very low. What is the wardrobe being made from? What are the approx dimensions? How many doors, shelves etc?

iWantChampagneOnColaBudget · 03/08/2013 16:01

mdf with veneer and its quite a small one with bi folding doors and 1 shelf

seems very low for veneer if real veneer.
esp if its the doors and sliding track etc, bite his hand off, just make sure its real veneer.

I've just been quoted £600 for a very simple mdf wardrobe with 2 doors.

i have had quotes wwhich come back at £400 but they come with 10 years guarantee of the job- however those carpenters have said other jobs have come up etc

this comes with a year guarantee but i think i trust the carpenter, and have the invoice and guarantee in writing, just not sure?

annalouiseh i think the outside will be veneer and sandwiched with mdf if that makes sense?

My dh does veneer kitchens
that's why i said bite their hand off at that price.
veneers are on all 6 sides over mdf
