Price for a joiner-built shed?

Currently have a mound of earth. Want to put a shed on it. Been quoted £1700 Shock

The quote is 'To supply and erect weather boarding timber shed with felt roof, 1 single glazed redwood window, 1 redwood v linning door, timber floor. Size 2400 x 1800'

Does this sound reasonable? Any one else had a shed made?

Look at the 'Tiger Sheds' website. We'll be ordering from them within the next 2 weeks. Brilliant value and superior quality.

Is,a base included in the quote?

Mazzledazzle · 29/07/2013 18:06

A base is included and no self- assembly.

Will look at tiger sheds website...

Hmm a top of the range one from tiger sheds is coming in at just over a thousand, but does not include a base. With the labour and materials for the base it would work out at about the same. I want a shed that will last forever, not a crappy thing that will blow down in the next gale. Beans on toast for tea it is!

We are paying £1200 for our 14'x10' one (sorry no brain power to convert to metric!). That includes free construction of it and proper base with concrete posts sunk into ground to keep floor off the ground so it doesn't rot. Tanalised timber, apex roof, windows, double doors if DH got the order right. Whereabouts are you?
