Conservatory and existing windows

Hi,
Does anyone have a lean-to conservatory, which is basically attached to the back of the house - if so, how do you use the previous house windows? Do you keep them shut all the time or had them removed? Do you bother with curtains? I'm thinking of a conservatory but trying to see how it'll all fit together with the existing house. The conservatory will end up with windows and 2 sets of patio doors opening into it, which seems a bit silly as there may not be enough walls to place things. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Knocked out the windows and made a door into the conservatory?

There's already a set of patio doors out to the garden plus the windows. If I change the windows to more doors then I'd end up with a row of doors leading into the conservatory :-{
