Front door - which would you choose?

I think I prefer the full wood one, but the builder is saying there is no difference in security and the part glazed one would obviously let more light into the hallway. He suggests using obscured glass for privacy. He seems to think it would look really nice, which is why I ask.

I just can't see it. There is a window by the door anyway so I think light is covered.
I've never had a front door like this...what do you all think?
Glass
Full wood

Although ours is glass, out of your choices i prefer the wood one. It just does seem more secure and private.

I prefer the full wood one. Too much glazing on the other one and I'd be uncomfortable I think. Our front door has a half moon sectioned glazed bit at the top iyswim, and I think that's lovely though more cleaning

That's what I think - the other one is fine for the back door which will be behind a gate to the side of the house. I feel weird having the same door for both to be honest. If it was a different style of door - glass at the top or something it may be a bit more of a front door but to me it looks like a back door. Glad I'm not just being picky or missing a new faze! Thanks.

I don't love either but the glass one definitely looks like a back door!

our old house had glass front , new has full wood, I def agree that full wood feels more secure ( even if it isn't!)

I agree; looks like a nice back door, the wood is lovely.

I'm surprised there isn't an option in between - like the "ultra tech" one (which I love actually) but with a square window. My front door looks like the full wooden one but with a rectangular single pane of glass.

Of the two you linked to, I prefer the full wooden one. The half glazed one is too "open" for me, even with obscured glass.

The wood one.

Ooh! I have a wood one (with tiny glass window at nose height) and can't wait to change it!

Much prefer builder's choice but perhaps something like the first shape here: www.yaledoor.co.uk/config/ might work even better?

That way you still get the four panels of your wood one but with more light and the option to change colours.

Depends on the age/style of your house though.

I prefer aesthetically the door with the glass in but for a front door I think the full wood one would be a better option.

Thanks everyone. I've asked the builder to order the full wood one. Thank you all for responding :)
