Am about to sand ou walnut worktops and recoil with osmo oil following reccomendation here - but having now ordered it not sure if I should have gone for the natural or clear? Got the clear - does us give a really high sheen look that will scratch again? Any advice welcome!

we used clear in a matte finish (which isn't really matte but more of a soft sheen).

it is fantastic stuff. ours were done over a year ago now and we haven't had to top up since. no scratches, no black marks.

Agree with ceres. Clear gives a slight sheen to the surface. No high gloss that scratches, so you'll be fine.
