Relocating: knowledge on village please

Hi - any local knowledge out there would be good?

My husband is relocating with his job to Central London, so I am looking at properties around Gatwick area, so I can fly back to my family easily (elderly parents overseas). We know the areas we don't want and some areas that would be fine.

I've found a house that I like the look of but haven't heard of anything of the village.

Requirements :
I would like a village school, English pub, and a social life for me and my two year old.
The link to the motorway, airport, beach etc look easy. The train to London (Victoria) from Three Bridges look quick enough for my husband.

Knowledge would be very much appreciated!

I don't know this village although I have heard of it. Maybe it would be better to start a new thread with the village name in the title?

Try posting on Local threads in Surrey or Sussex. It is a drive from Three Bridges though. Compare journey time and parking at Horley as that too has fast trains. Maybe also look at Smallfield, Felbridge and Copthorne ?

My friend lives in Crawley Down and loves it, I've visited once and it was lovely and quiet but easy to get to (from Surrey via M25).
