God this has been stressful and packing during this lovely heatwave is the cherry on the top!

Not looking forward to unpacking at the other end...

I've said this many times this week too.
It will be worth it, it will be worth it, it will be worth it

I completely agree, WL. For this very reason, our impending move to a bungalow will definitely be our last, too Smile

Totally with you. Have just moved for the fifth time in five years. It was 46°c this weekend and the worst is that this is not our forever home and I will be doing it all again eventually. At least once but probably more.

I hope you really enjoy your new house

poocatcherchampion · 06/07/2013 21:35

we've done it too this weekend. so far we are still going strong. I'm in a happy place tho at the mo Grin

You lucky ladies. House buying is a nightmare, you lot are at the better end of the process. But I do feel for you all in this heat

Angry - did you end up buying the house that was 5k over budget?

It must be lovely to move into your new houses with sun streaming through the windows.

GetStuffezd · 07/07/2013 08:47

Oh don't! I've got this horror to go through in two weeks time. Luckily I've only been in current house a year so haven't accumulated to much crap. Deafening the whole process though!

AngryFeet · 07/07/2013 08:55

Hey doglover i bought a bungalow too!

No baking novice we decided to go for the better location than house so ended up in the perfect spot in abungalow that we will need to extend over time.

Up now for more packing. Broke the back of it yesterday thankfully!

You can always get a company in to pack up for you.

Tell me about the heat, has been draining today.

Moving in properly on Wednesday, so I have been packing up, moving furniture so I can get a good clean under everything, but far worse for DH who has been plastering and steaming off a border in the new home.

Was supposed to given the garden a quick tidy up but was too hot after doing the rest of the stuff.

Am hoping when we move DH will stop being such a hoarder it has taken days to clear the loft and shed and I am still finding loads of stuff to chuck.

On the plus side if this weather lasts we will all be able to celebrate by toasting moving day in new gardens.
