Tower Bridge Area

Hi there

I am showing someone from abroad around this area tomorrow and wondered where is best for a food shop. I was thinking of taking them to see Borough and London Bridge area first, then Bermondsey Street for some cool restaurants and bars, but is there an alternative shopping area for basics nearer to Tower Bridge and Shad Thames which is worth wandering along for convenience? ie a Marks and Spencer/ Sainsbury's Local. Nothing can compete with Borough Market itself obviously!

They are going to be living in those Think Apartments.

Thanks

May be too late for you now, but there is a Waitrose on the other side of Tower Bridge, if you walk through St Catherines dock you will come to it.

MoreLondon, just past Hays Galleria, has an M&S Food here - it is close to the Tooley St walkway into More London. There is a Boots in Hays Galleria, too. There is a Sainsbury's Local on Borough High St.

There's a Sainsbury's on Tower Bridge Rd just past Bermondsey Square.
