I have an open fire which we use.The front of the grate and the front of the grate tray were black but through cleaning are now grey and tarnished.

Would I have to replace them?Or is there anything I can use to blacken them up again.

You can get stove/fire grate/BBQ paint.
They sell it on amazon, but your local hardware store (if you are lucky enough to have one), fireplace shop or even probably B&Q should have it.

Oh thanks for that. I honestly thought I would have to replace it.Will have a look in B&Q
