Planning a new ikea kitchen and wondering whether to get one of their dishwashers. Are you happy with yours?

Yes we have one. One year old, no problems. I think they have recently changed their dishwashers though, they used to be whirlpool but are someone else now.

Thanks, that's good to know. We currently have a Constructa that came with our kitchen. It is really good, noticably better than the Zanussi we used to have. We are moving, hence the new kitchen, and I'd hate to go back to a dishwasher that only half washes the dishes.

We have one in our holiday home and I hate it.

It washes well enough but it is a bugger to load. Glasses and mugs always fall over in the top part. The internal fittings seem really flimsy and the drawers don't move in and out smoothly. Infact I am getting irate just thinking about the bloody thing.

Hmm, that would drive me crazy too

We've never had any problems with stuff falling over in hours. In fact I'm always really impressed that there are special bits that hold the stem of the wineglass so they don't fall over!

We have had 2. I wouldnt get one again. They are a great price but have not proved reliable long term. I now buy all appliances from john lewis or m&s as their customer service is worth the extra. Replacing faulty.goods is quibble free. I cannot say the same for ikea - but they would be ok for something you only want to work for a couple of years.

I don't know about Ikea, but places that sell kitchens usually offer overpriced rebranded appliances to make you think you are getting a bargain if they throw it in free. You will do better if you buy Bosch (or Miele if you can afford it)

I loved ours - a Whirpool Ikea one. Best dishwasher I have had.
