Our mortgage offer expires first week in August. We are aiming to exchange in the first week in July so I can start the school application process in time. We don't have a completion date but the sellers suggested end of August which is after the offer expires. But we can't exchange if we don't have a mortgage valid at the completion date obviously.
The Woolwich can't really answer a question without dates. On the first approach they said we would need a new survey (£450) but they would waive the application fee (£750).
What I really want is a free extension on the offer for a month ? So how should I go about getting this ?
